What is the Foothills Writer's Group?

The Foothills Writer's Group was founded by a group of 8 Okotokian writers in the spring of 2022, on the principle that by pooling their talent, knowledge, experience, and resources, they could help themselves & others become published authors.

Since then, the F.W.G. has expanded to over 40 members; Hosting monthly social meetups & education seminars, the yearly Foothills 6th Grade Writing Competition, and Wordstruck.

Today, the Foothills Writer's Group is a diverse, inclusive community of adult writers from all over Foothills County in Alberta, Canada. We come from all walks of life. Regardless of your age, gender, sexuality, race, religion or background, you are welcome at the Foothills Writer's Group.
