Foothills 6th Grade Writing Contest - 2026 - Winner

The Foothills Writers Group is delighted to announce the winner of this year's Foothills 6th Grade Writing Contest!

This year's content received over 80 submissions from students attending schools all across Foothills County, and we want to extend our heartfelt joy & appreciation for each & every one of this years contestants! We loved reading all the wonderful, creative, and entertaining stories written by the passionate, creative, and imaginative participants!

In the end, there can only one one overall winner to the contest. This year's ultimate winner was chosen by our panel of local Guest Judges - Rae-Lynn from Yooneek Books in Okotoks, Erin from Spisherbocker Books in Diamond Valley, and last year’s overall winner Devin Philips.
